Frequently Asked Questions

Do you charge travel for wedding photography?

This depends on where the wedding is. I love to travel with this job, so if it is a long journey and involves accommodation then travel costs may occur. However, I never want travel costs to be a deal breaker so these are always minimal, if at all.

Do you start and leave at a set time on a wedding day?

No. Every Photographer is different and although some base their packages and price on set hours, I don't do this. This is simply because I don't like to limit myself to a set time and ultimately, I would never end up leaving when I was 'meant' to! My packages and prices are based on the parts of the day being captured; not how many hours. My all day package means just this; all day! Before the day, I will discuss with you the best arrival time and then I will stay into the evening reception and leave when there is essentially nothing 'new' to capture. I always check with the couple that they are happy for me to leave before I go too. If it's a good band or the DJ is playing some banging tunes then I do find it hard to leave...

How long does it take to get our photos?

During busy season (April-September) I always say to allow between 8-12 weeks. However, it is often sooner than this and I always keep my couples updated with progress. During the first week after the wedding, you will receive a small gallery of previews to keep you going while you wait!

Myself and my partner really don't like being in front of the camera?

To be honest, not many people do love being in front of the camera (myself included)! The important thing to remember here is that the outcome of the images are never as awkward as you may feel at the time of the shoot. Also, I talk... a lot and I can assure you, you won't really notice your photo is being taken for the most part as I will ask you to do a lot of walking and talking as well as snapping away while we are having a conversation. Even the most camera shy have said how relaxed they felt and that it "Wasn't that bad"!
